Mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic - Longitudinal results across Europe from the ESTSS COVID-19 pan-European ADJUST Study Part II

Abstrakt

The European Society for Traumatic Studies (ESTSS) launched a longitudinal European study onthe mental health impact of the COVID-19 pandemic (https://estss.org/adjust). In thissymposium, longitudinalfindings from different countries will be presented. Thefirstpresentation (Lotzin) will provide insights into associations between pandemic-relatedstressors and risk factors for PTSD across eleven countries. The second (Mooren), third(Grajewski) and fourth (Ajduković) talks will conveyfindings on mental health trajectories inthe Dutch, Polish, and Croatian populations, respectively. Thefifth presentation (Arnberg)will present Swedish data that indicate potential mental-health recovery between pandemicwaves, while the sixth presentation (Figueiredo-Braga) will discussfindings on theassociations between coping and symptoms of adjustment disorder in the Portuguesepopulation. The last presentation (ZrnićNovaković) will report qualitative data on pandemic-related experiences infive European countries. The implications of thefindings for researchand clinical practice for the current and future pandemics will be discussed.
