Philosophy

Stress can have a huge impact on various aspects of our lives, including sexual experience and behaviour. However, so far very little research has been conducted to investigate stress and sexuality in everyday life. We aim to start filling this gap by combining ambulatory assessments and biological measurement techniques. Using our state-of-the-art equipment we assess psychophysiological, endocrine, immune, and genetic parameters.

Talking about one's own sexual experience and behaviour and about possible problems or difficulties regarding sexuality requires a sensitive and trustworthy environment where study participants feel comfortable. We therefore place particular significance on the choice of members of our study team. As in every study conducted in our team, confidentiality and our participant's anonymity are of utmost importance to us.
